Baidyanath Temple
Baidyanath Temple also called Baba Baidyanath Dham is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva. It is located
in Deoghar, in the Santhal Parganas division of the Indian state of Jharkhand.
Trikut Pahar (Trikut Hill)
Trikut Pahar (Trikut Hill) is a Hindu pilgrimage situated around 15 km away from the town of Deoghar,
on the way to Dumka at Trikut Basdiha in Mohanpur Block of Deoghar District in Jharkhand. There are
three main peaks on the hill. It is 2470ft high. A ropeway is a tourist attraction and can be used to reach the
top of the hill. Other than the ropeway, tourists can also use the stairs to reach the top. The hill is covered
with clouds in rainy seasons and waterfalls and small streams are visible during July–September.
Tapovana
Tapovana comes from the two root words tapas, meaning ‘penance’ and by extension ‘religious
mortification’ and ‘austerity’, and more generally ‘spiritual practice’, and vana, meaning ‘forest’ or ‘thicket’.
Traditionally in India, any place where someone who has engaged in a serious spiritual retreat may become
known as a tapovana, even if there is no forest. As well as particular caves and other hermitages where
sages and sadhus have dwelt, there are some places, such as the western bank of the northern Ganges river
around Rishikesh, that have been so used by hermits that the whole area has become known as a tapovana.
Naulakha Temple
The Naulakha Temple is a Hindu temple located in Deoghar, Jharkhand. It is dedicated to the Hindu
deities, Radha and Krishna.
Nandan Pahar
Nandan Pahar is an amusement park built on top of a hill in the district of Deoghar in Jharkhand, India. It
is famous as a picnic spot with several activities for one and all. One can have fun on one of the joy rides,
go boating in the region or offer their prayers at the Nandi Temple. The park has frequent visitors from
nearby localities from almost all age groups because there is something for everyone here. Sunrises are a
treat to the eyes as the rising sun sets its rays upon the earth to illuminate every corner of Nandan Pahar.
Sunsets are mesmerising too as the sun gently fades away letting the starlit skies take over.
Satsang Ashram
Satsang Ashram is a holy place for devotees of Thakur Anukulchandra, in the south-west of Deoghar, established by Anukul Chandra.
